You know how it is when you least expect it, your whole world turns upside down. That's the situation Pooh Shiesty, the Memphis rapper born Lontrell Williams Jr., finds himself in. His bail was denied in Texas federal court in May, and to make matters worse, prosecutors came out with a new filing on June 24 that has left many wondering if Shiesty can get out of this one. According to the documents seen by Billboard, the prosecution claims to have strong evidence, including video footage of the alleged armed robbery and kidnapping of Gucci Mane.

The new evidence presented by the prosecution has shaken things up. The footage allegedly shows Gucci Mane being forced to declare that Pooh Shiesty was dropped from 1017 Records and out of his contract. This is a significant development, as it suggests that Shiesty might have been involved in something more sinister than initially thought. The video, which is part of the prosecution's case, matches the victims' accounts of the robbery, which took place in January at a Dallas recording studio. An 8GB USB drive was also put forth as evidence, with a photo of the device included in the court documents. The prosecution claims that the release of contract agreement constitutes a full termination and release of Shiesty from his deal with 1017 Records, which signed him in 2020.

Shiesty, along with his father and rapper Big30 (Rodney Lamont Wright Jr.), were among eight individuals arrested on April 1 over the alleged dispute. The group is accused of stealing jewelry, Rolex watches, and cash during the alleged altercation. The charges against Shiesty and his co-conspirators are serious, and the prosecution is pushing hard to prove their guilt. The trial was originally set for July, but it's been pushed back to February 22, 2027. With the new evidence, it's likely that the prosecution will continue to present their case, and Shiesty's chances of getting out of this one might be slimmer than ever.
